Privacy Policy

01Information we collect

The Service requires more sensitive personal information than a typical website because it acts on your behalf. We collect:

• Account information — name, email address, password (hashed), and optional phone number for SMS coordination.
• Resume content — your work history, education, skills, contact information, and any other content you upload.
• Job-search preferences — role types, location, compensation floors, exclusions, and other filters you configure.
• Application history — records of which jobs the agent applied to on your behalf, when, and the outcome (submitted, replied, interview scheduled, etc.).
• SMS message content when you opt in to SMS coordination — your replies and decisions.
• Payment information when you subscribe — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store credit card numbers.
• Usage data — IP address, browser, device, session activity within the Service.

02How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate the Service — submit applications on your behalf, generate tailored resumes and cover letters, run the AI agent that coordinates your search.
• Communicate with you — via email or SMS, depending on your preferences, about your job search and account status.
• Improve the product using aggregate, anonymized usage patterns. We do not train AI models on your personal resume content for purposes other than serving you.
• Process payments for paid tiers via our payment processor.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

03AI processing of resume content

To tailor applications, we use third-party AI models (currently Anthropic's Claude API) to process your resume content and generate tailored materials for each application. Specifically:

• Your resume content is sent to the AI provider's API only as needed to generate a tailored application.
• We do not allow the AI provider to train models on your data, in accordance with their commercial API terms.
• Generated tailored content (resume variants, cover letters) is stored in your account history so you can review or download it.
• You can request deletion of all AI-generated content at any time.

04SMS and phone numbers — special protections

We treat phone numbers and SMS-related data with extra care because they are uniquely sensitive. Specifically:

• We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing. This is a categorical commitment.
• Phone numbers collected for SMS coordination are used only to send you the operational messages you've opted in to receive, in accordance with our SMS Terms.
• SMS message content (your replies, your decisions, your STOP/HELP requests) is logged and retained for product functionality — specifically, to give the agent context across sessions.
• You can reply STOP to any SMS at any time to opt out. Note that opting out of SMS does not cancel your subscription — it only stops SMS communication.

05How we share information

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• To submit applications on your behalf. When the agent submits an application to a job posting, your resume content and contact information are sent to that employer or applicant tracking system. This is the core function of the Service.
• Service providers who help us operate (Stripe for payments, Twilio for SMS, Anthropic for AI processing, hosting providers, email delivery, analytics). Each provider is bound by their own privacy commitments and processes data on our behalf.
• Legal requirements if we are required by law, court order, or valid legal process to disclose information.
• Business transfers if Wrework.ai is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will notify you before your information is transferred.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

06Cookies and analytics

The Service uses first-party cookies for authentication, session management, and basic functionality. We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate usage. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

07Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

• Access — request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information, or update it directly in your account settings.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your account and all associated data, including resume content and application history.
• Portability — request a copy of your data in a common, machine-readable format.
• Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing communications, reply STOP to any SMS, or cancel your subscription from account settings.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@wrework.ai. We will respond within a reasonable time and within any timeframes required by applicable law (e.g., 45 days for CCPA, 30 days for GDPR).

08Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

• Account and resume content: until you delete your account.
• Application history: retained for the life of your account so you can review submitted applications.
• Phone numbers: until you reply STOP or delete your account.
• Payment records: retained as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).
• Server logs and security data: typically up to 90 days.

When you delete your account, we delete personal data within 30 days unless required to retain it for legal, security, or fraud prevention purposes.

09Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest where appropriate, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you provide your information at your own risk.

10Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@wrework.ai and we will delete it promptly.

11International users

Wrework.ai operates from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

12Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active users via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
